The nylon trim is quilted onto the soft fleece, protecting you from water and wind. The hood is also lined with the same quiet nylon. The outdoor jacket has large hand pockets with YKK zippers, and the main zipper is a two-way zipper, allowing you to open the jacket from the bottom. This is especially practical for riding, as it lets you free yourself quickly from below if needed, for example, if you get caught on a western saddle horn.
